I'm not sure what version of BIND your system is running, but some
applications are very particular about the "domain" line missing from
the resolv.conf file. I'm not sure if that would affect Ganymede
the way you noted, but you may want to put the domain line with your
system's DNS domain in your resolv.conf file and see if that helps.
Again, that's a long shot, but it's the only thing I could see that's
obviously different than how we've got it here under Solaris 2.6 (and
I'm definitely not the Ganymede expert around here!).
