Near-final draft of LISA paper on Ganymede available
|
For those of you interested in getting a good overview of what
Ganymede's all about, we have put a near-final pre-print of our paper
for the 1998 USENIX LISA conference up for FTP access, at
ftp://ftp.arlut.utexas.edu/pub/ganymede/gany_paper.ps
The paper is a high-level overview of the Ganymede system, and is
probably a very good thing for people interested in Ganymede to read
to get oriented with what Ganymede is all about, and how it can be
adapted. The paper also has some discussions on performance,
scalability, and security that are worth reading.
Under USENIX's publishing terms, we are allowed to put our paper up
for ftp access, but we are not allowed to allow others to redistribute
the paper until a year after the LISA conference, so please don't pass
it around. As well, the paper will probably still have a few edits
made before publication.
I would be very interested in feedback on the paper, if any of you are
so motivated.
Thanks
Jon
